At the crib

We've been happily living at home these last couple days. Here are a few random shots we'd like to share with you all.

A Happy Family

We're so blessed to have such loving family and friends share in this momentous event in some way or another, be it text messages, phone calls, and hospital visits. Here are some more photos from our time at the hospital.

Sleepy head

It's funny how time flies during the first days following birth. You realize just how important the simple things are: eating, burping (and other bodily functions), and of course, sleep. Here are some photos of Jocelyn demonstrating the later of these.

We're continuing to do well recovering and learning some of the important tricks of parenting. Tomorrow will be an exciting day as we get to make the trip home with our little girl.

Hello Jocelyn Eve

Jocelyn Eve Frohnerath is here! She arrived at 3:05 in the afternoon yesterday, December 8th at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. The little munchkin weighed in at 7lb, 4oz and measured 20' head to toe. Mommy and daddy are simply thrilled to finally see and hold her after 9 months. Thank you to all of our family and friends for the support and encouragement. We'd love to share with you some of the first pictures of little Jossi:

"Not yet!"

So tomorrow is our due date and Mommy is ready for me to come. I, however, think that my little cozy home here is pretty nice and don't intend on leaving any time soon. My dad was the same way about his cozy home- in fact, the doctors went in and pulled him out a month after he was supposed to go toward the light. Can you believe that? I heard that the doctors nowadays won't let me stay here for that long. In fact, if I don't decide to come on my own by Monday the 8th, they are going to schedule for mom to go to the hospital and they will give her something to start my delivery next week. So...I guess I will be meeting you all within a week or so regardless of what I want. I know Mommy really wants to see and hold me though so hopefully I can let go of my attachment here in the womb sometime this weekend. Daddy is sure getting anxious too- you should see how he tries to communicate with me. He rests his head on Mommy's belly and makes the funniest sounds just to see if I will do something. I am pretty sure that I will soon be the star in his upcoming movie releases. I bet he'll share them with the world right away. Well, till my birthday...Happy Days to you!
Luv,
Jocelyn Eve Frohnerath

Baby Shower with Friends

This afternoon Stefanie Alt and Wendy Leonard hosted an exquisite shower for me. It was so much fun and such a wonderful feeling to have all the love and support from our friends. When I got home with all the beautiful gifts from our friends, Ricky right away said to me that we really must get on the blog right away tonight and thank everyone for all our blessings both material and friendship. I couldn't agree more I told him. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. P.S. As I type, Jocelyn Eve is giving me a little nudge to say thank you from her as well.

Vanessa, Margot and Evelyn from the Chronic Complex Clinic that Leah used to work in. Miss working with you girls!

I LOVE IT CALI! It is so cute and will be so functional too. Thank you. Now Jocelyn and I can be in style when we meet up with the girls and go out on the town.

Thank you Kristin! I knew that Jocelyn would certainly be blessed with a burrito blankie from her Aunt Kristin. No child should be without, right?
Dr. Sabia and Felice- Thank you for coming!

Washington University and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On October 11th the Glazer Family sponsored an event for Washington University in St. Louis' Alumni to spend an afternoon at the Buccaneer Training Facility. Leah's Dad and Brother (both alumnis) took Ricky and Nicholas(Leah's nephew) to the event. They had lunch and toured the entire facility. They described it as been first class. Avi Glazer is a WU alum.

Baby Shower at Betsy's

Betsy McBride hosted a beautiful baby shower for me. It was a wonderful time with some friends and family. Thank you to everyone!

10 Weeks and Counting

We have 10 weeks until the due date now. The pregnancy is still going beautifully for Leah. She has a bit more heartburn at this time, but nothing it's nothing that a few "Tums" can't handle. We'll be posting more pictures as the weeks progress.

That's Ms. Munchkin, thank you very much!

You heard right. There will be a Ms. Frohnerath, and she's got a thing or two to teach the world... eventually.

Leah and I were happy to hear our little girl is doing well; everything looks good.

After calling our parents, I called my friends - Zoe and Steve to let them know that our little girls would be growing up together. Who could've guessed that we would ever be saying that?

Bring on the pink footies!

Here Comes the Munchkin

Episode II - Munchkin Strikes Back

It is a bright time for the Frohnerath alliance. Leah is finding relief from the nausea associated with the first trimester, only to be greeted by the physical discomfort of the second. However, the pregnancy has been going well, and our excitement continues to grow. This month has been spent in textbooks and baby name books alike. We think we have our male and female names figured out. They are...

Meet the Munchkin

You're looking at the heartbeat of our tiny little "Munchkin." Leah is now 12 weeks along, and today marked our second visit to the doctor's where we picked up a handful of first images. We were able to hear the heartbeat, and our technician coaxed the Munchkin into moving around, which we were also able to watch. How cool is that?

I'm ready for my close-up, people.
Can you see Munchkin's face in this first portrait?

Yeah! Let's see those kickers!

Tired of getting pressed on, the Munchkin gives us some backside.

That's all for now. More to come!
